Our whole plan of driving down Highway 1 from SFO to LAX hit a bit of a snafu as we drove into Carmel-by-the-Sea. There was a sign saying the road was closed south of Big Sur...which meant some sights we intended on seeing were straight up inaccessible or would require a lot of time backtracking. It was pretty disappointing, but ended up being a blessing since we spent more time in Point Lobos, the most magical place I've been. It's the cute wildflowers for sure, but some areas have a fae forest vibe to it. I also snapped a different photo every 10 steps I took around most coves. All this to say brace yourself for a lot of photos.
