brunch: udon with additional spices

Noodles is officially the default for brunch every time I forget to plan ahead, which is pretty often.


Udon with napa, poached egg in a cinnamon, bay leaf, star anise infused chicken broth topped with sauted king oyster mushrooms.

If I take away the green onions and the spices on the side, the bowl would be monochromatic.

and as dessert:

Yogurt mixed with maple syrup and brown sugar. Would have been perfect if I had some crushed walnuts to go with it. They should totally sell this flavour, taste even better than maple syrup ice cream *u*
